Waterworks is infamous for having the most overpowered gear in the entire game for high level (or medium level now) wizards since it came out. It has amazing universal resist and pretty much all of the other stats are great, too. This is a MUST! If there is only one thing you really farm for, get ALL three parts of the waterworks gear.

WW gear does not carry the block that is required in Avalon. You might be able to make that up with a wand, crafted ring and athame, but I think you will need to craft the block boots to be safe. My Death wiz has crafted the whole Avalon gear set, including hat, robe, boots, ring and athame.
