After some pushing, I got the local dealership to read the codes while I was there and the cam position sensors are faulting (P0340 and P0365 if memory serves). There was a third code, but I don't remember what it was. 2006 TJ Doesn't want to start in the Cold and shows P0340. My 2006 Wrangler TJ needed a new CPS (Camshaft Position Sensor) when I first bought it. Changed it, no problems for a few months. It's been cooler out (down to 34°F). Jeep had a random misfire for a little while, changed plugs, still had code, didn't seem like a big deal.Used the DBALL 2 interface and T-Harness for this vehicle. No wiring was required, remote started the car with original key (pressing lock 3x's).Its an aftermarket K&N filter with the arm assembly. After about 30-45 seconds the noise subsides and it runs fine for the most part.. Also if I try and drive it before the noise subsides it will hesistate really bad and sometimes die. Kinda like its misfiring. So here recently i got a trouble code P0340 which is basically my camshaft position ...12 days and 10 stages spanning 400km on jeep track, goat track...sometimes no track. The P0340 comes back to a "Camshaft sensor" and the P0320 comes back as a crankshaft sensor. When I try to start it now, it just cranks and never starts. From what I'm told, it doesn't have a camshaft sensor, it's the distributor coil pickup sensor, or something like that. The crankshaft sensor was replaced 2500 miles ago, and is a quality part. Since P0340 is no cam signal I would concentrate on the cam sensor & so called synchronizer. Without a cam signal the PCM won't send a spark signal to the coils. Make sure it is turning when you crank the engine.
